PRACTICAL ENGINEERING TRAINING

Learn to build and test engineering models.

Work through the Model-Based Development process with MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow. Turn a system requirement into a model you can simulate, test and explain.

01 / COURSE PATHS

Choose how far you want to go.

6 MODULES · APPROX. 48–61 HOURS

Core MBD

Learn MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow fundamentals, apply MAAB modeling guidelines, and work through an end-to-end DC motor speed control project.

15 MODULES · 180 GUIDED HOURS

Detailed MBD

Develop requirements, build controller and plant models, automate tests, analyze coverage, and complete a capstone. Includes 40–60 hours of independent assignments.

  1. Define requirements
  2. Model the system
  3. Build the test harness
  4. Verify and report

02 / WATCH THE WORKFLOW

One process, two applications.

See how a requirement becomes controller logic, a simulation and a test result. Both examples use simplified teaching models.

AUTOMOTIVE · 47 SEC

Cruise control

Watch the vehicle track an 80 km/h set speed, then see how braking clears the cruise propulsion request.

AEROSPACE · 47 SEC

Aircraft pitch hold

Watch the aircraft track a 5° pitch command, then see how pilot disconnect clears the autopilot request.
